Romans 8

Nothing.

No thing.

No person.

No animal.

No angel.

No demon.

No sin of the past.

No problem of today.

No twist of the future.

Not the highest joy.

Not the lowest depression.

No power.

Not ours.

Not someone elses.

Nothing in this world can separate us from God’s love. Look at Jesus. If he would die and rise for you, will he abandon you now?

No.

Nothing can separate us from God’s love, although the Devil, the world and our sinful nature will try. They will batter us with doubt, fear, persecutions and troubles. They will try to distract and defeat us. Can they?

No. We are more than conquerors in Jesus. The Spirit of God lives inside of us. The power of the gospel is at work by faith in us.

Nothing. Remember that!

Father in Heaven, I praise you that nothing can separate me from you. There are times in this world when we feel alone, battered, and bruised and we wonder, help me to think of Jesus’ cross in those moments and to remember nothing – nothing – can separate me from your love. There are others in this world who need to know your love. Help me show them. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
