Romans 8

There are many powerful and beloved passages in Romans 8. It is the cap of the first half of this book and the highpoint of Paul’s explanation of justification.
-          There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. (v.1)
-          Those who live according to the flesh set their minds on things of the flesh, but those who live according to the Spirit set their minds on the things of the Spirit. (v.5)
-          But if Christ is in you, although the body is dead because of sin, the Spirit is life because of righteousness. (v. 10)
-          For you did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back into fear, but you have received the Spirit of adoption as sons, by whom we cry, “Abba! Father!” (v.15)
-          I consider the suffering of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us. (v. 18)
-          The Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. (v.26)
-          We know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to His purpose. (v.28)
What I would have you get out of this passage today is NO ONE. If you remember anything, I’d like for you to remember NOTHING.
        NO ONE and NOTHING:
-          Can separate you from God’s love in Christ Jesus.
-          Can bring any charge against you.
-          Can make you less than a conqueror through Him who loved us – Jesus our Savior and Lord.
Paul says, “I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Nothing. No one.

Father, help me remember no one can separate me from you in Christ and help me live in Your forgiveness every day. Amen.
