A Poem - At the Death of a Friend

At the Death of a Friend
In our grief we turn to you
The one marked King of the Jew
In your cross we seek to borrow
Solace from the man of sorrow
Relieved that you know our sadness
And in it insert your gladness
For from the cross and through the grave
We meet you, strong to save.
So to your holy name we cling
Jesus, Savior, Lord and King.
