Good Evening, Lord!
Words of Comfort
For You, O
Lord, are my hope, my trust, O Lord, from my youth. Upon You I have leaned from
before my birth; You are He who took me from my mother’s womb. – Psalm 71:5-6
Prayer of Confession
Blessed are
You, O Lord our God, king of the universe, who led Your people by a pillar of
cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night. Enlighten our darkness by the light
of Your Christ; may His Word be a lamp to our feet and a light to our path; for
You are merciful, and You love Your whole creation and we, Your creatures,
glorify You, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Amen.[1]

Petitions of the Lord’s Prayer
“And
forgive us our trespasses and we forgive those who trespass against us.”
Heavenly
Father, do not look at our sins, or deny our prayer because of them. We are
neither worthy of the things for which we pray, nor have we deserved them, but
we ask that You would give them all to us by grace, for we daily sin much and
surely deserve nothing but punishment. But you have given Your Son, our Savior,
Jesus to bear our sins in His body on the cross and given us forgiveness for
His sake. For Jesus’ sake help us to sincerely forgive and gladly do good to
those who sin against us. Amen.
Verse of Benediction
To the King
of the ages, immortal, invisible, the only God, be honor and glory forever and
ever. Amen. (1 Tim. 1:17 ESV)
